Helping All Little Things, North
Welcome to HALT North. We are the northern appendage of Helping All Little Furries, which is located in New Jersey. In August 2010, Danni Challender founded Helping All Little Things. In October 2017, HALT merged with another rescue to become Helping All Little Furries.
We may have changed our name, but we are stilling working hard to rescue and place small animals in educated, forever homes.
For the most complete list of adoptable animals, please explore Helping All Little Things on Petfinder.
Fill out an online adoption application at our online adoption form.
If you would like to foster, this doubles as a foster application. Just click the "Foster" indicator.
To request surrender, please fill out our surrender form.
We are a Foster-Home-Only organization. We do not maintain a central physical location. This means space within our network depends solely on the limitations in peoples' private homes - physically and emotionally.
It may take us anywhere from a week to a couple of months to accept your animal(s) into our network.
Please expect to provide transportation to the surrender location.
Do you want to learn more about Guinea Pigs?
The standards of care and provisioning for guinea pigs has changed dramatically in recent years. Science and experience regarding housing, bedding, nutrition, and medical needs has expanded exponentially.
Guinea pigs form strong bonds and have conditions and quirks that make each pig unique.
The primary goal of our adoption process is to educate you and match your personality and lifestyle with a guinea pig that will work well with you.
If you can learn something new about how to provide properly for your companion animal, you will be rewarded tenfold by having a happy pig who plays, begs for treats and enjoys cuddle time as much as you do.
Whether you are new to guinea pigs or want to learn the latest information, please explore these links:
www.guinealynx.info - You will find care, medical, medication and emergency information on guinea pigs here. Includes a forum for cavy enthusiasts where you can chat, share stories and learn from a wealth of knowledge.
www.guineapigcages.com - information on and a source for cages of all sorts. This site primarily promotes C&C (Cubes and Coroplast) cages.
